![]() Woolly sheep pincushion, my project chosen for our guild challenge. The mini hexagon (Grandmother's Flower garden) motif was intricately pieced by a quilting friend; I bought several of these motifs at our guild "tag sale". it was the perfect size for a decoration over the sheep's back...I selected wool felt to coordinate with the hexagon colors for making the sheep, and I used a vintage wooden spool for the "stand". My post-1910 Clemens Muller Veritas HC was used to sew the curved seams of the sheep halves together. Hand-appliqued and hand-embroidered. Cheryl Pinkerton |
